- Garden Walk Series Passport
- Sunday, March 7th through October
- BGSO Members may purchase the Garden Walk Passport, giving you eight great garden walks for the price of 6! Garden Walks take place on the second Tuesday of each month, March to October. Walks may also be repeated on Saturdays and Sundays (see schedule below). Garden Walks through May are described below.
- To give you a taste of the rest of the season, June will highlight the best perennials for Ozark gardens. July will focus on editing the garden for high impact color through the season. August will cover getting a jump on fall and starting a fall veggie garden. September will highlight fall perennials and fall tree planting, and October will take participants on a hike through "the other side of the creek," where BGO will expand in the years to come.

- BGSO Board of Directors Meeting
- Tuesday, March 16th at 6:00pm
- The Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks Board of Directors meeting is open to the public. Meetings are usually held the third Tuesday of odd-numbered months. Please check this website or call the Garden at 479-750-2620 to confirm the time and date of future meetings.
- Edible Landscaping with Leigh Wilkerson, the Larrapin Gardener
- Saturday, March 27th from 10:00am to noon
- Join Leigh Wilkerson, gardener and author of the Larrapin Garden blog for an exploration of edible landscaping inspired by permaculture. This two-hour presentation will offer beautiful images, tips, and resources for incorporating beautiful edibles in your home landscape of any size. Leigh says: "Why stop with a veggie garden? Why mow a yard when you can eat it? Edibles can go everywhere. There are dozens of ways to make your entire landscape yummy (larrapin!) for songbirds, butterflies, your pet chickens, pollinators, and you, too! Make your space, whether large or small, beautiful, bountiful and alive."

- Lake Fayetteville Cleanup
- Saturday, April 10th from 9:00am to noon
- The Lake Fayetteville Watershed Partnership invites you to take part in the annual Lake Fayetteville Cleanup. Everyone is welcome to pitch in! Just come to one of the three bases of operation around the lake. More details at www.LFWP.org
- Garden Walk: The Magic of Spring Bulbs, Tuesday
- Tuesday, April 13th at 10:00 am
- Susan Regan and the horticulture staff will lead a tour of the Garden's thousands of spring blooms. This walking tour will feature the tulips and daffodils you know and love, but will also highlight the lesser known beauties, including fritillaria, anenomes, crocus and other rare varieties.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes. This garden walk will be repeated Saturday, April 17. Members may buy a pass for the whole series of eight garden walks for $60.

- HOMEGROWN! Organic Veggie Gardening For Beginners
- Thursday, April 15th from 5:30 to 7:30pm
- Join Leigh Wilkerson, gardener and author of the Larrapin Garden blog, for an edible adventure! Find inspiration and information on beginner organic growing in any amount of space—from your balcony to a big yard to a plot in a community garden. Interested in gardening with the help of nature? In this two-hour class, Leigh will show you beautiful images of bountiful gardens and give you tips, techniques, and resources for beginners. Pre-registration requested so we'll have plenty of handouts. Email ozarksalive@gmail.com for more information or to reserve your space and pay at the door.
- As a special offer, join the Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks as a first time new member, and take this class for free! This class is an encore performance of the March 7 class.

- Garden Fest
- Saturday, April 24th 9:00am to 2:00pm
- Celebrating Earth Day at the Garden! GardenFest 2010 celebrates Spring, a rich blend of the artistic beauty of the Garden, and embraces the surrounding environment and the coming-together of our community of friends, families, businesses, and organizations. The festival abounds with musical entertainment, refreshments, and many opportunities to learn how our community is doing its part to conserve and preserve the richness of our environment.
- Earth Day Activities for Area Schoolchildren
- Tuesday, April 27th 9:30 to 11:30am or noon to 2:00pm
- Teachers and students from Shaw Elementary School in Springdale will lead area elementary students in framework-based learning activities followed by a concert by Star Shine Honor Choir in celebration of Earth Day. There is a $2 per student registration fee. Earth Day activities at the Garden are presented by Procter & Gamble
and sponsored J.B. - Create a Unique Garden Sculpture with Ferrocement
- Monday, May 10th Wednesday, May12th and Friday, May 14th from 6:00 to 8:00pm
Ferrocement, which is used to create many of the unique forms at BGO, is a construction technique in which cement is layered over a wire form. In this three-part hands-on workshop for adults and teens, participants will learn the basics of ferrocement construction and create a decorative garden orb to take home.
- Class is three sessions, May 12, 13, and 14. Class is limited to 20 participants. Dress to get dirty! All supplies are included in the workshop fee.

- Garden Walk: The Art of the Garden--Basics of Garden Design, Tuesday
- Tuesday, May 11th at 10:00 am
- Ever wonder what goes in to designing the lush plantings at the Garden? Susan Regan will get down to the "bones" of garden design in this tour, demonstrating the use of rythym, color, and texture in creating her trademark garden tapestry.
