Little Sprouts is a weekly botanically-themed program for preschoolers. Each week we read stories, sing songs, and do fun nature crafts & activities. Whether we are learning about how bees are more helpful than harmful, or exploring the garden with handmade binoculars, the children leave the Garden with a real appreciation for the world around them and a new desire to protect it.

Not only does our program serve the little ones in attendance, but also the adults who bring them. Each week we make an effort to encourage families to take the knowledge and skills they have gained from our programs and put them to use within their own homes. This is also a great way to get to know other families in the area!

​​Garden Buds is a weekly, environmental education program during the Fayetteville school district’s summer vacation for elementary-aged students. It takes place each Wednesday towards the back of the Garden at the Education Cottage from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, during the first Little Sprouts session. This program introduces children to nature and instills a sense of wonder and curiosity about their environment. The lessons taught during Garden Buds encourage a sense of stewardship of the natural world and helps children fall in love with the outdoors.
