Orchid Show & Sale

The Orchid Show & Sale is put on by the Orchid Society of the Ozarks. This special exhibit features displays of orchids from regional orchid societies and individuals, which are judged by American Orchid Society accredited judges. Each year, Garden Members have the first opportunity to purchase orchids and view the entries from the competition.

Earth Day Festival
We celebrate Earth Day each year with a family-friendly festival, complete with interactive activities, crafts, games, and live music. Guests are invited to celebrate our common home, the earth, and to commit to protecting and preserving it!

BGO Plant Sale
The Garden marks the arrival of spring each year with our annual BGO Plant Sale. Guests can shop from 20+ local vendors selling a wide variety of plants, flowers, pottery, garden accents and art, and other products by local artisans. Garden Members get the first opportunity to shop!

Chefs in the Garden

Chefs in the Garden is BGO’s signature spring fundraiser and Fayetteville’s favorite foodie event! This event is a showcase and competition of Northwest Arkansas’ best restaurants. Guests are invited to stroll through the Garden, enjoy live music, watch cooking demonstrations by the area’s finest chefs, sample their tasty creations, and sip on local libations.

JUNE, JULY, AUGUST

Terrific Tuesday Nights

Terrific Tuesday Nights is a family-friendly, free, summer series hosted at the Garden every Tuesday evening from June through August. This series allows the Northwest Arkansas community to experience the Garden on beautiful summer evenings free of charge, thanks to the Pat & Willard Walker Foundation, Inc. Guests enjoy different activities & themes each week, like Amazing Animals, Ice Cream Social, Sprinklerfest, and more!

Firefly Fling

During Firefly Fling, the Garden transforms into a whimsical realm, meant to inspire guests to embrace the magic of the outdoors. Guests dress up as fairies, pirates, superheroes, and other magical creatures! This family-friendly event features community partner booths with interactive educational displays and activities, live music, food trucks & treats, face painting & henna tattoos, fire dancing, a laser light show, and so much more!

International Festival
This free festival is a celebration of all of the cultures that make up the Northwest Arkansas community! Enjoy cultural and traditional dance and musical performances. Be transported around the world through food. Visit booths throughout the Garden featuring arts and crafts, displays, and cultural items for sale. Talk to experts on resources for immigrants, refugees, and other marginalized communities. And so much more!

Scarecrow Showdown
The Scarecrow Showdown is a temporary art installation and competition, from October 1 to October 31, showcasing handcrafted scarecrows created by the Northwest Arkansas community. Individuals, families, artists, schools, organizations, businesses, and more can partake in creating scarecrows! Guests of the Garden vote on their favorite scarecrows throughout the month.

Autumn Harvest

The Autumn Gala has been reinvented! Our signature fall fundraiser is now called the Autumn Harvest, serving as an opportunity to celebrate the changing of the seasons! Guests enjoy live music, barbecue, and seasonal ales and ciders – all while being surrounded by the changing leaves, scarecrows, and pumpkins!

Jingle Bell Jog

Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in the Jingle Bell Jog 5K, Children’s Fun Run, and Little Sprouts Fun Run! Ugly Christmas sweaters, Santa hats, elf ears, and anything that sparkles and jingles are highly encouraged. Awards are presented to the fastest runners in each age group and all race finishers receive a finisher medal. Santa and Mrs. Claus join us every year!
