Butterfly house renewal
Big Things Are Taking Flight
The Butterfly House is receiving important updates and repairs as part of a Butterfly House Renewal & Pollinator Education Initiative for the 2026 season. Originally built to last ten years, the structure has now welcomed visitors for fourteen, and this work ensures the safety of both our guests and the butterflies while honoring our commitment to careful stewardship.
During this time, the Butterfly House will be closed for the 2026 season. You can still enjoy butterflies throughout the Garden, and the Butterfly House will reopen next year just as you remember it.
Butterflies are still a part of the Garden experience!
Guests will continue to enjoy:

Butterflies Along the Butterfly Path

Pollinator Garden Habitat

Butterfly Scavenger Hunts

Citizen Science Butterfly Research

Educational Programming & Field Trips
Why This Work Matters
The Butterfly House is the only butterfly house in Arkansas and a treasured destination for nearly 100,000 guests every year. Visitors of all ages come to experience the beauty and wonder of thousands of butterflies in an immersive environment. By renewing this space, we can continue to care for it responsibly, protect the butterflies and their habitats, and ensure that this unique experience remains available for generations to come.
