Reaching Parents: Challenging Behaviors

REACHing Parents is a series of 6 sessions targeted for families of young children. It includes FREE materials for home practice. The curriculum was developed by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is based on the “Pyramid Model for Supporting Social-Emotional Development and Reducing Challenging Behavior.” 

The goal of this series is to:

1) Provide families with background information and concrete strategies to support children’s’ social-emotional development

2) Increase parent-teacher partnerships in teaching and scaffolding social-emotional skills for school and life success

Participants are welcome to attend whichever sessions interest them (one or all!). This series is for adults-only.

December 14: Extra Help 

In our final lesson, families will understand the underlying causes of problem behavior and how to make changes using the ABC approach within a parent-teacher partnership. You will leave this session with an understanding of when and how to reach out for resources and extra help when needed.
