Children’s programming
At the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, education is central to our mission. From toddlers discovering nature through Little Sprouts to adults learning sustainable gardening techniques, we offer enriching programs for learners ages 2 and up – all designed to inspire a lifelong connection to the natural world.
We are not a city-supported amenity and we do not receive taxpayer funding. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Garden relies on the generosity of members, donors, and others whose support helps us keep these programs accessible and affordable for families. Thank you!

About
Little Sprouts is a nature-based program designed specifically for children aged 2-5 that helps develop their appreciation and understanding of the natural world. Each session includes story time, songs, and fun nature-themed crafts and activities. From planting seeds to spotting bees, harvesting veggies, and exploring the Garden with handmade binoculars, every session sparks curiosity and a love for nature!
Enrollment is now open to everyone, following an early registration period for Garden members. The cost is $60/month for Garden members and $80/month for non-members, with four sessions each month. To ensure accessibility, BGO is underwriting a limited number of needs-based scholarships for the 2025 Little Sprouts program. Both full and partial scholarships will be awarded on a case-by-case basis. Applications are due by Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with recipients notified by Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Walk-up spots are available as space allows. Day-of entry rates include Little Sprouts admission for one child and one adult and are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
