Arkansas Gardening School

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks Arkansas Gardening School is a horticultural symposium for beginner home gardeners, featuring expert-led programs by horticulturists, garden designers, and landscape architects. Through interactive talks and Q&A sessions, participants will learn to create beautiful, sustainable, and successful gardens in the Ozarks.

This year’s event will focus on the connection between gardens and well-being, offering practical tips for creating low-maintenance gardens, accessible design strategies, and tools to make gardening easier for all ages. Attendees will leave inspired and ready to start or enhance their home gardens for greater happiness and health.

At the Earth Day Celebration, guests can explore activities and resources that highlight the importance of protecting our planet. Visitors of all ages can have fun while they learn about sustainability, conservation and climate solutions.

Yoga in the Garden

Kickstart your weekend with Yoga in the Garden at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks! Join us every Saturday from May through July and October, as expert instructors from Fayetteville Athletic Club lead energizing sessions in the beauty of the Garden. 

A full-season package includes access to every Yoga in the Garden session from May through July, plus October! At just $119 for members and $149 for non-members, a season pass is the perfect way to save while committing to your wellness.

Chefs in the Garden

Chefs in the Garden is BGO’s signature spring fundraiser and a favorite of foodies across Northwest Arkansas! This event is a showcase and competition of the region’s best restaurants. Attendees are invited to stroll through the Garden, enjoy live music, watch cooking demonstrations by the area’s finest chefs, sample their tasty creations, and sip on local libations.

Firefly Fling Festival

During Firefly Fling, the Garden transforms into a whimsical realm, meant to inspire attendees to embrace the magic of the outdoors. Participants dress up as fairies, pirates, superheroes, and other magical creatures! This family-friendly event features community partner booths with interactive educational displays and activities, live music, food trucks & treats, face painting and henna tattoos, fire dancing, a laser light show, and so much more!

Tuesdays, June-August

Terrific Tuesday Nights

Terrific Tuesday Nights is a family-friendly, free summer series hosted at the Garden every Tuesday evening in June, July and August. This series allows the Northwest Arkansas community to experience the Garden on beautiful summer evenings free of charge, thanks to the Pat & Willard Walker Foundation, Inc. Enjoy strolling and picnicking in the garden after hours!

October 8, 2026

Autumn Gala

Join us for an evening in support of the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. This year’s Autumn Gala draws inspiration from the serene beauty of the Japanese Garden, featuring a thoughtfully themed dinner, live music, a curated auction, and the presentation of the Evergreen Award.

November 7, 2026

International Festival

This festival is a part of Welcoming Week NWA that celebrates all of the cultures that make up the Northwest Arkansas community! Enjoy cultural and traditional performances, food, and goods. Visit booths throughout the Garden featuring arts and crafts, displays, and cultural items for sale. Talk to experts on resources for immigrants, refugees, other marginalized communities, and so much more!

Winter Glow: A Solstice Celebration

Celebrate the solstice at Winter Glow – a family friendly, one-night-only event at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks!

Stroll a Garden wrapped in sparkling lights, take part in guided stargazing, browse a festive holiday market, and capture memories at the photo booth or inside the snow-globe bounce house. Enjoy complimentary cocoa as you explore – and keep an eye out for the Winter King and Winter Queen stilt-walkers, spreading holiday magic high above the crowd. Stay through the evening’s grand finale: a breathtaking fire dance performance, bringing Winter Glow to a spectacular close at the Garden!

This event is FREE for children 3 and younger. Prices will increase the day-of the event.
